Couples Night at Restaurant 356 and Porsche Atlanta Experience Center

My husband and I went recently hosted a couples dinner at Restaurant 356 in Atlanta. It’s located inside the new Porsche Experience Center facilities in Hapeville, GA.

Restaurant 356 is open for lunch daily Tuesday – Saturday 11:30-2:30pm and for dinner Thursday-Saturday 5:30-8:30pm.   It’s minutes from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport so it’s a great option for travelers arriving, departing, or laying over in Atlanta.

Whether you’re a local looking for a great dinning experience off the beaten path or just visiting the city for a few nights, Restaurant 356 will not disappoint.

Reservations are required and you can book online at Open Table. You can also call the day of to set a reservation but don’t be surprised if it’s booked. The holiday season will certainly bring large crowds to the restaurant.

The restaurant can cater to large parties and even private parties.  I was wonderfully pleased that they had a round table large enough to comfortably seat our group.  Round tables work best for groups and are great for holding conversations with lots of laughter which our group did not fall short on.

Our round table set for a party 8!

The menu selections were enough to satisfy our party of 8.  Everyone was pleased with their choices.  I ordered the grilled octopus as an appetizer, the wild arugula and leek risotto for an entree, and the creme brûlée for dessert.  They were all wonderfully plated and portioned just right.

The restaurant felt a lot larger than it’s intimate size because of the wall of windows with amazing panoramic views.  During the day you have a view of the driving track below and at night you can watch planes take off and land on the runways just ahead.

If you want a little excitement before your meal then be sure to reserve a Porsche Driving Experience.  Select some of Porsche’s most popular vehicles and test your skills on the driving track.  Non professional drivers will get a personal trainer to assist you with your driving skills for a price starting at $300 for a 1.5 hour session.

Not ready for the real deal yet?  The Porsche Driving Experience also has a simulator lab.  Up to 6 people can race at one time on 18 different real professional tracks from around the world.  You can also select from 6 Porsche vehicles and have as close to the real thing without needing a helmut.  The cost for the simulator is $35 for a half hour and $60 for the hour.

I recommend making your reservations with the Porsche Driving Experience a few weeks in advance and even earlier during the holidays and for special events.  Both of these options were sold out for us before we could confirm.

The driving track and simulator lab closes at 6pm.    There’s also a Porsche Museum onsite that closes early and on the weekends.  The entire Porsche facility is open for you to walk through even after 6pm so you when you visit after hours you can still take a look around.

The Porsche Experience and  Restaraunt 356 is a must see and do when your in Atlanta.   I especially love that it’s outside of the city so there were no crowds that you typically see during the weekends.  It’s a great place if you wish to have privacy or feel secluded.

I look forward to booking our next experience at Porsche!
