Deal or No Deal? Southwest Airlines Companion Pass

Have you heard the news Atlanta?  Southwest Airlines is offering a free Companion Pass to travelers for 2015!!

Southwest Airline Companion Pass There are of course a few stipulations in order to claim your free companion pass.  But even after I reviewed all the fine print, consulted with a few Southwest employees and travel experts, this is one of the best Companion Pass deals ever!

Not to mention Southwest Airlines offers competitive prices and no baggage fees for the first two bags!

Here is what you need to claim your Companion Pass:

  • Be an Atlanta resident with an address in Atlanta
  • Sign up for their Rapid Rewards (frequent flyer) program using the Atlanta address.
  • Book and fly 3 roundtrips originating and returning to the Atlanta airport between February 13, 2015 and May 17th, 2015. (Award travel does not qualify.)

After you complete your third qualifying trip, Southwest will notify you within 15 days to designate your companion.

This deal is great for small businesses and globetrotting couples or friends!!

Your companion can fly free with you for the remainder of 2015. And the best thing is there are No Black Out Dates!

Your companion will only have to  pay the  $5.60 tax airport security tax and any international taxes or fees.

The two of you can travel any where in the world Southwest Airlines flies and there are lots of new international routes from Atlanta.

  1. Man, this is a catchy and clever promotion! Not to mention the commercials for them have meant “Groove is in the Heart” is permanently affixed in to my head these last few weeks – all with the temptation to fly away somewhere and just get away. Sans kids, of course! 🙂
