And graphic novels have proven to be one of the most engaging genre of children’s literature.

Some parents are apprehensive about graphic novels for their kids.  It used to be that comic books were only for middle school and high school.  But now, there are lots of age appropriate graphic novels for your youngest readers.

Graphic novels are the best way to excite even the most uninspired readers.

When selecting graphic novels, read reviews to make sure the subject matter is interesting and age appropriate for your kids.

These are some of our favorite “kid and parent approved” graphic novels. Most are new for 2015 Summer Reading!

  1. Awesome list some of the titles we hadn’t heard of….my son is almost 7 but he loves these graphic novels. Such as the “Captian Underpants” series and “Big Nate”

    1. Yes there reaction is priceless. They’ve been asking me for that copy for weeks but the library doesn’t have it. I found it a bookstore in the airport. I bought two copies. I was their hero that day!

  2. We love most of these books. I need to pick up the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid. His birthday is this week, so it would be the perfect gift.
